TEENINDUSKVALITEET WAITERS FESTIVAL 2017
Teeninduskvaliteet OÜ like to invite waiters and waitresses to participate in the competition „Teeninduskvaliteet Waiters Festival 2017“. The goal of the competition is to value, develop and promote the profession of waiters and waitresses, by testing the professional skills, offering interesting competing experience, rivalry to other contestants, show for guests and public. The location has been decided based on the idea to take the competition further from Tallinn and introduce and bring closer different beautiful parishes of Estonia.
„Teeninduskvaliteet Waiters Festival 2017“ takes place on 13th and 14th May in Pärnu County, in the rooms or Are community centre located at Pärivere tee 17, Are. All waiters and waitresses working or studying in all around the world are welcome to compete.
There is no finale on the second day as all contestants take part in the 2-day competition and the scores are added together. Registration deadline is 1st May 2017. To participate please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject „Osaleja“. Participation fee is 20 euro without accommodation and 40 euro with accommodation in double occupancy room and with breakfast. Participants are welcome to stay in Villa Wesset (address: Supeluse 26, Pärnu) between the competition days. After the first day transport is organized to take participants to the town (accommodation) and back to the competition venue on the morning of the second day, after breakfast (exact departure time to be confirmed). Invoice for payment is issued after registering. The organizing committee reserves the right to make amendments in participation conditions.
Public can attend the event free of charge, but everyone is also offered to pre-order a VIP ticket, that allows to be right in the centre of the action, sit in the contest table and participate. Dishes are prepared by the chefs of restaurant Lusikas, and waiters will offer beverages to suit the dish. Three-course menu with drinks costs only 24 euro per person. There is also additional catering in the event venue with a simple menu that differs from the dishes offered at the contest. Contestants will wear the uniform of waiter/waitress. In addition to the homework of different contest modules it is also required to bring a corkscrew, notebook, pen and personal hand towel. All other necessary attire is provided by the organizer. Workstations and starting order will be drawn by the organizing committee on 13th May 2017 at the event.
The judges – selection of top waiters and industry professionals – will be named by the organizing committee.
The winner will be named „Teeninduskvaliteet Waiter 2017“and given the Teeninduskvaliteet award that travels with each winner. Three top contestants will be rewarded with trophies, diplomas and awards. Additionally there are special awards from the sponsors. Deadline for registration is May 1st 2017. Detailed terms of participation will be sent to the contestants after the registration deadline.
If there are less than 8 registrations the organizing committee has the right to cancel the competition. If the registrations surpass 12, there will be a written test for all who have registered. 12 best results will get the chance to participate. There will also be a DEMO day for all contestants, the date and location will be revealed in September on the www.teeninduskvaliteet.ee website.
